Better than new. Sustainable.
"Fjälluggla" is my most intricate embroidery to date. Having just got a book of all the wild birds in Finland I got obsessed with studying owls. It culminated in this project which took me more hours that I can count to finish. It is free hand machine embroidered onto a pale green fabric I bought from a flea market.
65 x 92 cm
Creating an entirely new medium in free hand embroidery, I make art that is fit for any home.
All works are my own design, usullay based on drawings in my sketchbook, and are handmade from start to finish. All pieces are therefor unique and impossible to replicate. I use recycled fabrics whenever I can and don’t limit myself to any style, shape or size.
All pieces are delivered ready to hang and are easy to store and move since they can be washed and ironed.
I am a storyteller and an artist. A photographer and a textile artist. This is where I share my textile art (view my photography over at www.julialillqvist.com).

This is an ongoing process that I don't wish to control so motives, styles, shapes and sizes may vary because artistic expression is more important than brand. This my way of being, I hope you enjoy it.
