Bundle of eight ornaments, all handmade from recycled scrap fabric.
When thinking on what project will be next, I usually turn to the materials at hand. Having worked with embroidery for a year, I'm left with quite a pile of fabric scraps, some just too good to throw out. As I racked my brain to come up with a smaller project that could put these scraps to good use, and ended up making an ornament.
These handmade ornaments are like small works of art, all with their unique design. A personal and sustainable way to decorate for the busiest and loveliest time of year.
I am a storyteller and an artist. A photographer and a textile artist. This is where I share my textile art (view my photography over at www.julialillqvist.com).
All works on here are my own design, based on drawings in my sketchbook and are handmade from start to finish. All pieces are therefor unique and impossible to replicate.

This is an ongoing process that I don't wish to control so motives, styles, shapes and sizes may vary because artistic expression is more important than brand. This my way of being, I hope you enjoy it.
